I had a dream about this forthcoming book last night...
All going well, Family Ramplin will be movng house in about a month's time. That's right - slap bang in the middle of the release schedule for By The Sword. My dream centred around the postman having to walk all the way down the country looking for my new address... and failing to find it.
Not sure if this means I'm overly stressed about moving house or overly excited about By The Sword.

"I handed in the new RJ novel with the
working title, BY THE SWORD. David says the sales force loved the title at the
pre Turkey-Day sales meeting, so that's what it will be. That means Paul Ramplin
gets a credit line in the acknowledgments.

If only! I think you have to be a potential reviewer in order to get one--that's the whole idea of ARCs.

There's one available on Ebay now. Sounds like a good one from the book description.

I put one bid in, but it's up to $66 already. I'll hold off on this one in the hope I can find one for a better price later.

I was planning on doing the same thing until I saw the book description. The second one for sale will go for half of the first one.

Hey Gauntlet! Why not list 2 or 3 copies at the same time?Wink

ImDeranged Wrote:Not just reviewers but bookstores get ARC's for advance reads. It lets us read the book sometimes months before release so we'll be more likely to recommend a title to our customers. I'd be begging for a copy myself if it weren't for the fact I've got my Gauntlet order all set and shouldn't have to wait much longer.

I've got a first edition on order as well, but I like to collect ARCs!

Or name the book, of course. Wink
