S P O I L E R S , yadda-yadda, okay.

Near the beginning of Season 3, Sun, Jin, and Sayid are in their boat trying to look for the signal from the Others' camp. The Others find their boat, Sun shoots a woman, they have to abandon the boat, and then...they magically wind up back at the survivors' camp as if they've BEEN back for a while? Huh? When did they get back?

I know I'm not the first person to wonder this, but if anyone else has it figured out or otherwise knows something I don't, please explain it. I'm still rather bugged by this "non-mystery."

"...and your last thought is that you have become a noise...a thin, nameless noise among all these others...howling in the empty dark room"

My brother had difficulty with that scene, also, but I did not. When Sayid apologizes to Jin through Sun and says that he will listen to him in the future, he then says something like, we'd better get going, we have a long walk ahead of us. Do we need to see them slogging through the jungle on yet another trek? I assumed they walked and got back to their camp without incident.

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

Maggers is right, that's pretty much how I remember it too. Look at it this way: when was the last time we saw any of the castaways go to the toilet? That we don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, only that it's not necessary to show us.

"I handed in the new RJ novel with the
working title, BY THE SWORD. David says the sales force loved the title at the
pre Turkey-Day sales meeting, so that's what it will be. That means Paul Ramplin
gets a credit line in the acknowledgments.
