Viscount Radu Wrote:for Jack i think Eddie Cibrian from Invasion would be a good pick. he seems mild-looking enough, but can pull off really, really angry.

or Josh Hartnett (ok, he's late-twenties, not mid-thirties... but by the time the movie is getting filmed he might cast better)

or Eric Bana (you wouldn't like him when he's angry)

and if there is a sequel i vote Julian McMahon for Professor Salvatore Roma (or maybe Peter Wingfield)

Funny, Josh Hartnett is the first person that I thought of when I heard that HWMNBNUPOD is a little younger than Jack should be.

Josh seems like he might be able to pull off the "every man" kind of look.

How about this actor:
[Image: images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR0UkhXtCvCFhYmEZbz3eK...1V8PU76XN7]

Karl Urban. You may have seen him in one of these films(just a few small films, nothing too fancy):
Doom (2005)
The Bourne Supremacy (2004)
The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
Ghost Ship (2002)
Plus some others I didn't list. Just an idea.

I've given up on guessing. My past picks were John Cusack, Jeffrey Donovan, and my young 'un pick was Jensen Ackles. I don't really care who it is as long as they have the chops. I just wonder if they'll get with trainers to achieve Jack's wiry build and physical grace? Scott Glen's build is what I picture when I think of Jack. As for his body language and movement, I'm at a loss for a comparison.

I think the string turned in a direction Richard didn't intend. He asked not who we want to play JAck but who we think the big mysterous actor is who will get the role.

I was thinking it will be either Ashton Kutcher or Sean William Scott but whoever it is is getting final approval on the script so they must posses some sort of pull in the movie world and do either of these guys have that kind of pull? Not sure, and if they do not sure I understand why...

Link repaired.

Thanks KRW!! It is good to be here. I need to hang here more often, instead of the knife/gun/flashlight forums I am usually at. Smile I registered on the old forum, I just don't visit as much as I should.
I just finished "Gateways" and I am halfway through "Crisscross". I am trying to get caught up on my RJ novels.
We need all the gunnies we can get, someone has to do it. I think it is time for RJ to retire his AMT .380 and pick up a pair of Kel-Tec .380's. 2 Kel-Tec's probably weigh less then 1 AMT. Smile
