One of my favorite scenes was from an old Charles Bronson movie called Ten to MIdnight or something similar.
Bronson is meeting his college-aged (or young adult) daughter for lunch or dinner and they have to go through a cafeteria line, pulling items off the shelves and putting them onto their trays and sliding along until the get to the cashier.
Once they seat themselves at a table, his daughter looks at Charles Bronson's tray and says...
"I didn't know you liked quiche!"
Bronson looks down at his tray and growls, "I don't. I thought it was apple pie."
Then he gets up to throw the offending plate in the trash.
