Does everything have to be stickyfied? I find it annoying to have to scroll down half the page to get to the action. Wink

Just click on "New Posts" and you never have to deal with that, anyway.

I think you should add "stickyfied" to the Wall of Words thread. That's a good one. :p

A sticky is a thread designated by the powers that be to be too important to behave as other threads. Basically in essence a sticky cuts in line and forces threads created by the little people to wait indefinitely to be read.

StickyConfused are the John Kerrys of threads. (he cut me in line once and I've hated him ever since)

I've been using this site for years now... and I've never even noticed the 'new posts' thread!
Thanks!

Same here, but the stickys have never been a problem to me, and they provide good information to new members and guests alike.

This forum has eight stickys, which to me is no big deal.

TV and Film Discussion doesn't have any

Appearances And Confrences has four.

Off-Topic discussion has one.

Political Discussion has one.

Site Questions/Problems has three.

As I said, I don't have a problem with it.

Most of those were stuck by Effy so you'll have to take it up with him. Wink

May I suggest making a new forum for the "games" or "sticky threads" or whatever you wanna call them? Just an idea.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
