How many of you post regularly on non-RJ Forums?

I personally post semi-regularly on: Razar Magazine;
Anotherealm.com; and this site pretty regularly.

I used to post regularly on the now defunct: original WB
Buffy website The Bronze; Ragged Edge Publishing;
and AstoundingTales.com. Also, 1018press.com recently
shut down its forum (though the rest of the site is still
up and running).

I guess one point I'm trying to get to is, has anybody
found another forum dedicated to an author that
generates this much much steady traffic? I know I
have not. Big Grin

The only other forum I post on that is sort of dedicated to an author is at:
http://forums.johnsteakley.com/

We don't really post much about Steakley or his books, since he has only written two -- but most really do like those two novels a lot. A lot of us have become friends and travel once a year to Dallas to see one another. Until last year, Steakley always came to visit, too (he was unable to attend last year) -- and we always took him and another major author out to a dinner at a pretty nice restaurant. FPW went with us once.

The posts are actually very similar to the types of things we discuss here. Movies, books, video games, politics, current events, guns, and so on. We are generally a little more polite to one another, though, and that may be because many of the regulars have met each other face to face and had some beers together. But sometimes things do get a little testy, too.

I do post on a couple of business forums regularly, mostly about search engine stuff within a certain sector of the web, but I can't imagine anyone here would be much interested in that unless they are involved in the real estate world.

Recently, I joined to Neil Gaiman's forum. His journal is very interesting.

Also I post on Robert McCammon's site. Some of members are joining to RJ messageboard. Smile

I just read Matty Gaiman's (Neil Gaiman's youngest daughter) blogs
from the set of Hellboy II. Great stuff.

I've been known to advance Divine Nonsense's cause on Joe Haldeman's TANGLED WEBSITE, Jerry Pournelle's CHAOS MANOR, and some music sites. That's when I'm not busy talking with the Manson Family and ZOG.:eek:

Not books, but before I came here, I posted on a photography site all the time. Things got too aggravating and bitchy over there, so I left.

Abe's raised eyebrows caused furrows in his extended forehead. "Five in twelve hours?"
"Oh, and like you've never had a cranky day?"

I post on a few other boards regularly, but none of them have anything to do with authors.

Your reluctance to divulge the nature of the other forums you visit leads me to belive they are related to deviant sexual practices. :o

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.

Besides this forum (obviously) I post on an indie filmmakers forum, a Mac forum, a computer gamers forum and Shocklines.
