Susan

Ha! Big Grin I love it!

Thanks very much everyone for your compliments, there's no group of people that are better qualified to judge a Rakosh illustration, and I am really proud that you all like mine!

Thanks! Big Grin

Bones my friend, that is absolutely f*%@ing awesome, without a doubt the best illustration of a Rakosh I have seen

I think I said before - you should post your Glaeken here as well

Can I have a signed copy so I can e-bay it when you are famous Wink

Who is your favorite comic artist - there is just a little bit of Simon Bisley in the muscle detail on the rakosh (Mr Bisley a personal favorite of mine)

So, are you going to be updating your avatar to the 'new and improved' Rakosh?

I must add my compliments to all the rest, this has got to be the definitive realisation of everyone's favourite 'blue meanie'. Gets my vote for sure.

bones weep tedium Wrote:Inspired by the very interesting The Keep FPS Game thread (which I can't find so am unfortunately unable to provide a link Sad ) I thought it would be fun and wuite interesting to show you the development process that went into my latest illustration of a Rakosh, rather than just posting it.

If you didnt see me previous effort, it's here. It was quickly sketched in front of the TV and crudely painted, but it revealed the most obvious weakness in my representation of a Rakosh; the head.

Described in the books quite clearly as being shark-like, I struggled to draw it this way without it looking like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle so I quickly cheated it into a more conventional Venom-esque design. So it was the head that intimidated me the most when tackling a proper illustration of a Rakosh. . .

bones, that was fucking =excellent!= Yow! You got it, man. Stick with it.

Good, interesting stuff Bones. Like everyone else, I like the picture a lot, but(and I should preface this by saying that I don't know Jack about art) the nose and upper teeth look too sharky(I know that is how they're described, but it's shorter in my mind's eye) to me. It almost looks like he's laughing.

That is awesome.

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

May the Norse be with you.
