I had a free ticket and the timing was right, so I saw "Shooter" this afternoon. It was far fetched in many ways but I enjoyed it, until the end when things became just too much to believe. I'm sure the gunnies on the board would have many criticisms. It was uncomplicated fun, which I will probably forget in a day or two.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

I found it enjoyable in exactly the same way.

Levon Helm's character was the best part of the film. He seemed like a real person rather than just an actor playing a part.

What a misleading title for a film. It was good...but NOT AT ALL the movie I was expecting.

I think the last film I seen him in was The Right Stuff. There was just something about his character in Shooter that caught my attention. He played the gunsmith that Wahlberg and the FBI agent visited to get info on how to duplicate a round fired from someone's rifle.

And what type of movie were you excepting? Or should I be afraid to ask that question?

It's probably best to not ask follow-up questions to those kind of posts.

I believe he was thinking of "Money Shooter: The Peter North Story" He is somewhat of a sniper when you think about it.

I feel so transparent. And gross.
