I finished reading The Select last night. I may never go to a doctor or hospital again. Ever.

After finishing The Hades Factor by Robert Ludlum, I may never take anti-biotics ever again.

But, The Select is one great book. This is the one I use to start new people on FPW if they don't like horror. If they do, I start them on The Keep.

I may agree with you on that, Scott. The Select is my favorite non-horror FPW book, but it is still very frightening.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Oh no.....you can go to hospital, Noelie. If this hospital is in America. But you shouldn't go to Japanese hospital. Japanese hospital is very danger.

Anyway, I read The Select too. That was non-horror, but very frightening. The Select, Implant, Dydeetown World, The Touch, Virgin.....I like FPW's non-horror novels. Specially, The Touch is one of my favorite novels.
