When I first heard this was being made I laughed my ass off. If any movie series ever outlived it's usefullness this is the one. Don't get me wrong the first 2 are classics. I even liked the 3rd one with Mr T. 4 sucked balls and I never saw 5.

Then I saw the trailer for this one and I can't wait to see it. It's an interesting premise. The look on Rocky's face when the press calls him a Balboasaurus makes me want to cry. I'll be taking my three oldest nephews to see it Christmas day (after presents and before football). Don't judge it until you watch the trailer. Smile

Well, the trailer is well done at least.

I had that same initial reaction when I heard about this. I still probably won't see it, but only because I really, really hate boxing. Otherwise, it might actually be pretty good.

So....you haven't seen "Cinderella Man" or "Raging Bull" ? Even "Champ"?

Yeah, surely boxing is violent. But some boxing movies are pretty good. Wink

I liked first one. Part 2 was pretty good. But I dislike part3 and part4. I haven't seen part5. So I won't see Rocky Balboa.

Yep.

I've at least mildly liked all of them. 5 is by far the worst. 3 is my favorite - Hulk Hogan as Thunderlips, Mr. T as Clubber Lang. Big Grin And Mickey .... well, I won't say any more about Mickey.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

I saw at least some of "The Champ" - I only remember little Ricky Schroeder crying his eyes out at the end. But no, I haven't seen "Cinderella Man" or "Raging Bull" or any of the Rocky movies (except maybe the first one, I don't remember).

I'm sure some of them are actually good movies for the non-boxing parts, but they're just not for me. I don't watch very many sports-related movies anyway. Sports schmorts! Wink

I'm excited to see this movie! I love all the Rocky movies except for number 5. Rocky IV is one of my favorite movies. I don't like real-life boxing, but do enjoy boxing movies (Million Dollar Baby, Cinderella Man) and love the show Contender. I think this Rocky will be a little different, but still very good.

how could you not like Rocky 4?
if you don't like it, that means you are rooting for Drago. and that means that you are a communist.:p
