Just saw this new little horror flick. Not sure if the title is Touristas or Tourista Go Home. Doesn't matter. The movie starts off as a Hostel rip-off but decides to become a brochure for Brazil. The horror portions are too short to actually call this a horror film; however, I enjoyed myself (as did the dozen or so people also in attendence). Lots of T & A, a nice beach, and a lovely river with underground caves. Could have used a better gaffer in the second half of the movie.

P.S. Beware doctors with pointy sticks.

Hey AC. Thanks for the tip. Between your review, and that of Ebert and Roeper
(two thumbs down...actually Peter Siegel filling in for Ebert), you've just managed
to convince me not to check this snorefest out. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey, Mike,

Isn't that something about Wesley Snipes and the IRS? The best laid plans...and all that. Still think sending him the thing we talked about is worth a try. Just a thought.

Just goes to show you that you that honesty is always the best policy...especially if your accountant suggests "anything" that sounds the slightest bit shady.

Would be cool if he ever got interested in the script. Cool

I gave the movie a solid C.

I actually thought the first half was good, and I dug it more than Hostel, which I hated. But the second half unfortunately slogged during parts and was terribly lit (to the point of long segments being in complete darkness).

First half a B, second half a D. Overall, a C.

Some nice eye candy for everyone.

I saw this movie last week, it was o.k. I say O.K because it got consfusing, the plots were rushed in the end. Movie did have potential, and it was refreshing to see an ending concept that wasn't so cliche of the typical thriller flic as of late. (I won't ruin it for those who havn't seen yet.)

That being said, the ending underwater scene was difficult to follow, and after that I lost interest. What a terrible way to rush an ending to a movie.
