Anyone else following this season of Smallville. Great stuff. I'll definitely be buying this dvd collection.

Bad guys from the Phantom Zone have escaped, but not only criminals from Krypton--also criminals from other planets. In the last episode, Clark was about to be snapped in two by one such criminal when this stranger kills the guy. Clark watches as the stranger takes flight.

Damn if the stranger didn't look like Martian Manhunter. So far, Flash, Aquaman, and Green Arrow have made appearances on the show. Do I hear Justice League?

A friend at work watches and he said that IT WAS the Martian Manhunter. I don't watch it, but I wanted to catch the Green Arrow episode .... I missed it. Sad

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Aw man, I wish I wouldn't have erased it already. I would have liked to seen if I thought it was the Martian Manhunter. J'onn J'onnz, or something like that. Green Arrow is practically a continuing character this season, much like Lex (only different).

I always watch Smallville. Can't help it.

The entire season up to the introduction of Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow) is leading up to a January episode where the first "League of Justice" is formed.

Queen is in Metrolpolis trying to recruit Clark for the league.

And yes, that was Martian Manhunter and what a thrill it was seeing him. Great season indeed!!!

Ah!! *snaps fingers* Of course!

I've been sitting here since last Thursday racking my brain, trying to figure out who that shadowy figure might've been, and it never occured to me that it could've been Martian Manhunter.

Man, they really are pulling out all the stops, aren't they? I distinctly remember Miller and Gough adamantly claiming that Clark would never take flight in "SMALLVILLE," and yet, since the first episode of season 4, he's flown numerous times. Impressive to watch (particularly that episode where he tossed that warhead into space), but it leaves me curious as to why the creators changed their mind about the no-flying clause.

And now, not only have we had Zod, a teenaged version of Flash, Aquaman, and Green Arrow pop up, but now the Martian Manhunter might be making his debut?

When are Darkseid and Doomsday going to show up?

And don't forget, we also had a teenage version of Deathlok appear in Smallville. I have copies of all the original run of "Deathlok the Demolisher" comic series (which ran in Astounding Tales or something like that).

Really? Which episode? I have no knowledge of Deathlok, so I wouldn't have noticed.

Deathlok is a half-human half-machine man, a cyborg, and episode 103 of Smallville had a character that seemed based on Deathlok. His name in the episode was Victor Stone, which was not the name of any of the Deathloks from the comics, but Deathlok was traditionally a black man who was transformed into a cyborg, and the character in the episode was also a young black man.

His first appearance was in Astonishing Tales #25. I have that one and all the subsequent original run of Deathlok the Demolisher. Supposedly, a movie version of Deathlok is in development.

Ah, now I know who you're talking about, and I think I have heard of him before. But, unless I'm confused, isn't Deathlok part of the Marvel universe?
