1) a white poster/flyer on some wall, with
black Japanese characters, that actually
translates into "BLACK WIND"...perhaps in
a restaurant, or on some take-out containers
or bags...

2) As Jack enters Isher Sports Shop, he
sees Abe finishing up a transaction with
a man about his own age...they make eye
contact and nod at each other. Only we,
the fans, know that this other customer
is sniper/assassin Jake Nacht from Paul's
novel, NIGHTKILL...

3) In the background of a scene, on a TV
set, barely heard, a tabloid news flash
about someone claiming to have discovered
a tribe of blood drinking leprechauns
(AKA TENANTS and NIGHTWORLD)

4) Agree with earlier post that Jack
must have a box of QUISP in his kitchen.

5) A poster of the movie "BEAST FROM 20,000
FATHOMS" on the wall of Jack's apartment

6) A copy of the Roger Zelazny short story
compilation "MY NAME IS LEGION," on Jack's
nightstand (it predates RJ [even though it
is set in the future] and is also about a
'nonexistent' troubleshooter who works
outside the system).

The Muffie lives in NYC and has appeared as an extra in several movies filmed there, usually as "freaky girl in club" or "freaky girl on subway"

(Small!) SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

I'm with Webby on this one - gotta get Glaeken in the background. You have no idea how excited I was when an old man with a cane appeared in Harbingers - was reading in bed and just had to shout YES. Girlfriend wondered what was happening.

of Glaeken and Rasalom

I don't want the ending of the book changed- ambiguity is good for the soul but this being Hollywood, we'll probably have a very blatant scene of either Gia on her way or ringing him up, so the outcome will be obviously known

If I were the set decorator, I'd recreate Julio's, Gia and Vicki's and Jack's as they are in the book even if these scenes are shot on a soundstage (as opposed to location shooting)

I suppose Jack will be watching his beloved in-home movie festivals on a plasma flatscreen with state of the art sound and dvd player!

Now that I've seen what other board members have on their wish lists....let me second (or third in some cases) some suggestions. I bet FPW is sorry he asked. I feel like a little kid being allowed to wish my heart away. Wink

A FPW cameo is a MUST.
Scott Glenn as the OLD Glaeken. Make-up could age him!
Board members as extras......Maggers is a must!
I love the idea of Jake from Nightkill in Abe's shop!
The beginning MUST be in India.....how else can Jack be Kamasutra-ed?
Abe's shop as cluttered and dusty as we imagined it.
Scenes at Julio's.
There are so many others, all are good....I don't want to make you all yawn!

Now for my add on....
I have the dogs. I even have one that snaps and mumbles on cue! Wink Big Grin

I think it's neat that The Man asked us for ideas!

Or am I having another repressed false memory?

Close. Jack nearley ran Ba over in a bezerk rage when running from the cops.Wink

Hey, Keith, how about if Jack is following a stranger into Julios bar that's wearing an "Isher Sports Shop" shirt. Maybe?

Also, it's in All The Rage.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Some people mentioned Paul's cameo. That's good idea. He is a doctor. So....

How about Paul's cameo as Doc Hargus? Big Grin
