I really do think that Doakes is gonna take the fall for this, whether it's by Dexter's doing or not. By that I mean, maybe Doakes will get caught with the treasure box and try to explain that they are Dexter's, but nobody will believe him because of his Dexter obsession.

And yeah, according to Showtime's website, that does look like the final episode of the season. They are WAY too short!! How will I survive until next season?!

EDIT: I just ran across something that says there are 4 more episodes, so now I'm not sure.

Doakes would have to die to make it believable. He's going to end up on the table. I like the show better than the books but would have preferred that they stuck to the books storylines. Particularly the Cody and Astor angle and the minimization of Doakes. Would have made some good TV.

Well, all I have to say after last night's episode is "Eeeeeeek!" I can't wait to see where they're going with this!

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

Double "EEEEEEK!"

What's that awful Lila going to do to the cute, chubby detective, whose name I can't recall? She had better not hurt him. I really like that guy, as a character and as an actor. (As an immodest aside here, I saw that actor in an episode of OZ where he was walking to the isolation cell, and you know they walked those guys to the isolation cell in the altogether. My oh my, the man is gifted. :o  Big Grin )

At any rate, didn't our darling Dexter look fine and fabulous on the dock as he confronted Doakes? There's no way out for Doakes. I wonder if Dexter is going to feel remorse about that. I was happy to hear him confess remorse to Rita.

How will they top this season?

Angel. Wink As for what she's going to do to him, I don't know, but I bet it won't be good. Sad

:o That made me laugh out loud, good job!

The man is gorgeous, there's no doubt about that. He's not my type generally, but he certainly has grown on me.

Quote:There's no way out for Doakes. I wonder if Dexter is going to feel remorse about that.
Yeah. I don't really know how to feel about that. I absolutely despise Doakes in the books, but he's made me laugh a lot in the series despite the fact that he is after our Darling Deadly Dexter.

Same here. I think that the little wooden boy is slowly learning that he feels more than he would like to admit.

No idea! The writers are amazing though, love it, love it, love it.

It's finally happened. Three programs that I want to record on at the same exact time and the DVR can only record two of them. I'm opting for Dexter and the final episode of Extras. Family guy will have to wait. Or maybe I'll watch Family Guy then Extras THEN Dexter. I love all the options we have nowadays. It's like a different world.

Great finale! Did anyone else think Dexter was offing a vampire when he finally got Lila? Great scene. But poor Doakes. Much as we all knew he had to go, I still hate to see him gone.

I'm entering the sweepstakes. Wouldn't it be a gas to be on the show. Ha!

I do love this show. Dexter is a noble character, chocked full of morals, despite what he and basic law enforcement might think. And God bless Harry. I still say he is one of the great supporting characters of fiction.

I also loved they way the incorporated the fabulous opening sequence for the show into the finale. Great stuff.

Can't wait for season three. It's now official. I like the series more than the books. They've done more with Dexter, taken him more places and in greater detail.

Spoilers below:

I loved it, but for one thing. Too clean. Lila should have lived. It would have been a thorn in his side that someone out there *knew* despite the fact no one would have believed her. And getting back together with his ex was much too easy.

Poor Doakes, but I can't wait to see the lieu become obsessed with finding the real killer in the office.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!!

Well, I loved it. I really hated to see Doakes die, but I don't think there was any other way but for him to be gone. The character was always entertaining to me and made me laugh, but his dialogue with Dexter over the last few episodes really made me like him a lot more.

I also kind of thought that Lila should have lived so that she could return to torment another day, but in the end, I was just plain happy to see the pale English titty vampire dead.

I was ambivalent about Deb last season, but now I absolutely adore her. Sometimes I wish I could get away with being that upfront and obnoxious. "Don't forget your broom!" LOL, I love her.

I was sad to see Lundy go, even though I knew he had to. I liked him a lot.

Now what will I do with myself during the long wait til next season?!

Hilarious and too true. I'm glad she's gone. Dexter was very kind to her. He gave her a spinal to incapacitate her but also I think he said something like... "you shouldn't have to feel this." Now THAT'S a gentleman!

Quote:I was sad to see Lundy go, even though I knew he had to. I liked him a lot.
I love, love, love Keith Carradine and have for years. I more or less stopped watching "Deadwood" when they killed Buffalo Bill. He's hot and he's got a great butt. Big Grin

Quote:Now what will I do with myself during the long wait til next season?!
Well, there's no replacing DEXTER, but if you are a fan of LOST, you can do what I'm doing. I'm watching all of Season 3 again to get caught up. I'll be addressing that on another thread.
