Am I just being nostalgic for my childhood or was this a good movie? I put it in my Netflix queue, but I don't really remember it that well.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

I liked it. Didn't love it, but I liked it for what it was: A fairy tale.

If I recall correctly, that's the movie with Tom Cruise. If so, I saw it at the theater when I was very young and was pretty dissapointed with it.

I like Legend. Actually, I have to say I'm Ridley Scott fan. I saw all his movies. If my memory is correct, Legend was his first fantasy movie.
First, I was amazed to beautiful visual and music. The scene of beautiful spring's woods suddenly turned to cold winter, that was awesome. And, music was Jerry Goldsmith, but I have soundtrack by Tangelin Dream. I prefer Tangelin Dream version. Their soung is very fascinating!
Second....Tim Curry! His red Demon with huge horns was horrible but cool!

By the way, I heard about this movie's three hours version. Has anyone seen three hours version?

I liked this movie. Very visually attractive movie for fantasy. Even Tom Cruise didn't ruin this one for me. Curry is awesome in it. Its worth watching again, I did probably a year ago and it held up pretty good.

How come no one has mentioned Mia Sara in that dress yet?! Wink

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

I liked it. Hell, I have it on VHS. Course, I was also very big into D&D back then...damn I'm old. I remember watching it on VHS then going to the movies to see 'Ferris Bueler's Day Off' and saying, "Hey, that Simone chic was Princess Lily!"
