Season three starts Aug 13th.

It just might have the best comedic cast since Seinfeld. Uncle Andy, Celia and Doug are consistently hilarious. My favorite is Celia's chubby wanna-be lesbian pre teen daughter. That kid cracks me up every time. :p

Showtime has clearly overtaken HBO as the leading pay tv provider of quality television.

I agree. Showtime has great shows...Weeds, Dexter, Brotherhood, the Tudors and now Meadowlands. I stopped watching Meadowlands after about the 3rd episode, but I think I might want to go back. Have you seen it, CC?

Also, have you seen any of Californication? Has it started yet?

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Californication premiers right after Weeds. It looks good but I'm going to subtract an originality point from the show for stealing the title from a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. I'll give Meadowlands a shot off the strength of the other shows. Brotherhood was pretty good. I live twenty minutes from Providence and I like watching the local scenery. Dexter comes out on DVD in a few weeks and I'll snatch it up based on the strong positive reviews from the board.

Interestingly enough the first two episodes of the new season of Weeds, Californiacation, Dexter and Brotherhood have all been leaked to the Internet.

Still haven't seen Meadowlands but the 2nd season of Tudors was just short of great. The chick that portrayed Anne Boleyn was awesome. Henry was a madman. History has judged him too kindly.

TUDORS was terrific. Loved all those costumes and her jewelry. I hated Anne Boleyn at first, but she grew on me, then she went and lost her head. Big Grin

I'm disappointed in WEEDS. I liked it so much more when they all were in Agrestic. I don't like her interactions with the heavy duty drug lords; it's just not believable. And how much iced coffee can one woman sip, all day long?

Just started watching this show sence it is on on-demand. I am halfway through the second season and I'm addicted. Love all the characters, except Celia of course. Great characters, great story and twists so far. Real mad the Heylia and Conrad leave the show after season three, but I am hoping they return in season 6.

"Sanity? Worthless things like that, I never had them for as long as I can remember!"
