Has anyone seen this yet? I'm curious to know if it went over well.

I've heard different opinions. One of my staff at woik, a film-making guy himself, opined it was a good, fun flick. Another hombre said it was a waste of money and a waste of time. Ah do not know. But how can a flick with the line, I WANT THESE MOTHERFUCKING SNAKES OFF THIS MOTHERFUCKING PLANE be bad?

The first forty five minutes of the film rock. Snakes gone crazy: Attacking each other and any human in their way. (How they get crazy is a spoiler). After the first forty five minutes, the movie settles down and it becomes a "Can anyone fly a plane?" movie. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't scary. I'd put it in the "thriller" category, with an emphasis on "gory."

P.S. Wicker Man preview looked intriguing. But all roads will still lead to that famous ending from the original film. Now what I want to know is who'll be doing the dance scene that Britt Ekland made famous?

Yeah, that's my general feeling as well. I hope I get to see this soon.

Hands down the worst cult horror movie ever. How many movies has Cage been in this year? It's almost disgusting.

My brother won't go see any movies with Cage in them. He even refused to see "The Ant Bully" and Cage only voiced one of the ants! I'm glad Cage didn't get the Superman role he so badly wanted, but "Ghost Rider" doesn't look half bad. Even my brother's rubbing his chin on whether or not he'll see that one.

P.S. I, on the other hand, have seen every movie Cage has been in this year. Not that I'm a Cage fan, but he picks interesting movies with interesting premises. I haven't been let down yet. Now Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, and Will Ferrell choose inconsistantly interesting movies. Sometimes we see a good character in a good movie, but mostly we see Jim, Adam, and Will being themselves. Too much adlibbing these days.

I kind of wish he did get it. I didn't see the film because I didn't like the idea of them hiring a Christopher Reeve look alike and basically making a sequel 20 years later. At least with Cage it would have been a little more original. Then again the superman comic geeks wouldn't have stood for it.

I thought Snakes on a Plane looked really stupid, but we may end up seeing it on DVD. I won't pay to see it in the theater.
