kurrgan Wrote:Good morning, i hope everyone is well this morning. I didn't think i could be more excited than i had been after reading all the other RJ Novels. I bought The Tomb over the weekend at Walmart and, guess, what, i am more excited. This is my favorite of the RJ novles without a doubt. I loved every word of every page. A great adventure story if ever there was one and it was nice to finally be able to read where it all began.
Everything about the book tugged at me from page one, the characters, the story, the intricate interaction and relationships between the characters. WOW, WOW, WOW is all i can cay.
I only have Harbingers and the Last Rakosh left to read and can not wait until i can get my grubby little paws on them.
What's next in the RJ saga? Anyone?

Glaeken wakes up. He hears the shower running. He looks down at his suddenly unwrinkled hands. He walks to the master bath and opens the door to the shower stall. There is Magda--young, beautiful Magda. Surely he must have been dreaming.

I happened upon one of my favorite towns, Monroe  But this is in CT, not on LI, NY. Along the strip where my favorite antique store is, is a used book store. Lo and behold........I find a copy of "The Tomb" for 50 cents! Yes it's only a paperback, in pristine condition and the coupon is missing from the back, but what "fool" let this prize go? Anyhoo, it's mine now.
Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:Well, dadburnit, Cobalt, an old rare edition? But let's not be to quick to judge the "fool" who let the prize go. Maybe he owed some coin to Tony the Donut...couldn't raise it quick...the doctors said, "No, man, you can't sell your =other= kidney." And there you go. And Cobalt, I bought a buncha of the new TOMB to give away. But did you notice there's no "repairmanjack.com" at the end, like there is in every other book? No, Bluesman, this is the new paperback edition. My original is in the grubby hands of my child Dan. Ya know the one, that joined the board......BUT STILL LURKS OUT THERE!
