This may be a regional thing, as I recall getting most of our take out in CA in styrofoam containers. Here, only the expensive messy stuff comes in those containers. Everything else is in the white boxes.

Ah, the little metal handles! Many's the time I've gotten me Chinese provender home, ravenous, desperate for nourishment, only to be stymied by the little metal handles, which you =can not get= 90 degrees from the vertical! Often I've sobbed, "DESTROY ALL LITTLE METAL HANDLES!" as I tore at the cardboard with me teeth...

Whenever men and women are pitted against each other, the man/men lose and quite easily.

In big things, yes. But women let us guys win enough little things to maintain the illusion we're in charge.Rolleyes

We've been wondering if there's a car lot out around L.A. that specializes in restoring these...

Ironically, there is one; it is located on Highland Ave, sandwiched between the Hollywood Bowl and Universal Studios. They do all the work of cars used in motion pictures. It's a treat to watch them working on vintage cars like the Batmobile or the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile.

This is more NYC-based TV shows than flicks, but the apartments these guys and gals live in make my head spin in wonder. Do plush joints like that exist? Sure. I've stolen the silverware in some. But for most of us, THE HONEYMOONERS is more like it.

Here in KY, we've yet to find a Chinese restaurant that uses little white boxes. It's been a literal lifelong dream of my wife's to eat Chinese food out of a white box.

That is SO true! I always just manually bend them outward with my hands and pull them over the side of the carton which usually slightly bends the box inwards, spilling some of it's contents on my kitchen table.

I usually get mad thinking that that's less food for me to eat, even though I usually over-buy my chinese food and never finish it all anyways.
