I was collecting pics of Universal movie monsters as reference for a tattoo I have to start tonight and remembered Jack complaining that the creature costume he had rented in Crisscross was green. Thought this might settle that mystery.

Gotta love them Black-n-white movies. Anything of a dark color was black. Sigh....so plain.Wink on the white backround.
And a hearty welcome Riff!

Jack wasn't complaining as much so wondering why it was green when he'd never seen the gill guy anything but gray.

Well, there you go. Question answered. Jack should check out production stills. Thanks.

BTW --are you giving or getting the tattoo? And the client wouldn't be David Schow, perchance -- the world's most fanatical CotBL fan?

Too funny! Now every time I read Crisscross, I'll think of that picture - it will make the scenes of Jack even more fun. Smile

Welcome to the board, Riff!

Hi and welcome to the board.

"Oh, and like you've never had a cranky day?"

Giving the tattoo. No...not David Schow. It's actually going on a friend of mine and it's not just the gillman but also Frankenstein, Dracula (Lugosi), The Mummy (Karloff) The Wolfman, The Phantom (Chaney) The Bride, Kong (1933), as well as a couple of the more visually dynamic modern baddies like Pinhead, and Freddy. I think I'll mention Max Shreck's Count Orlok from the 1922 Nosferatu to him as well. Maybe we'll add that one to the list.
