I can't answer #1 since I haven't seen all of Season 2.
That was Libby who gave Desmond the boat.
Kate didn't exactly wink at Jack; she blinked significantly. Jack looked at her and nodded his head imperceptibly. Kate responded by slowly blinking her eyes as if affirming whatever it was Jack was saying with his nod.
I love that Pen's money is so vast she can hire people at the top or bottom of the world to find Desmond through the wonder of science.
There is no way anyone can guess what's happening on this show. They pull rabbits out of the hat at every turn.
What's gonna happen to Michael? His gotta get his just desserts.
And what's up with the hatch(es)?
I hope they begin reruns right away so I can see all that I missed in Season 2.
