Robert Redford lives on a ranch in Wyoming where he cares for his only trusted friend, Morgan Freeman. One day his (ex)daughter-in-law (Jennifer Lopez), whom he blames for the death of his only son, shows up in desperate need of help and with a granddaughter he never knew existed. A connection is possible if the anger, blame, and guilt can be dealt with and forgiveness found.

I really liked this movie. Freeman and Redford together - WOW! And Lopez does a great job as well. A really good story. It has it's unrealistic moments at times but the good far outweighs the bad. Highly recommend this film.

Freeman and Redford was once together in another movie, "Brubaker". I also highly recommend it.

I saw "Unfinished Life" the other day and really enjoyed it. I remembered this review, Sam, and decided I'd check it out.

I love that Robert Redford has allowed himself to grow old gracefully and has never felt the need for a face lift. Neither has Morgan Freeman, for that matter. They work beautifully together in this movie. Jennifer Lopez was even OK. I could watch Josh Lucas forever, with that blinding smile and those blue eyes.

It's a nice little movie.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
