An old thread brought back huh? Good

Since Lord of the Rings is a trilogy, can't just pick one. Then it would have to be Young Frankenstein. A Wilder/Brooks genus gem.

Kenji Wrote:Ah! Fargo was good! But I prefer Coen Brothers's "Miller's Crossing". That was perfect film.

My favorite Coen Brothers film is The Big Lebowski, by far.
My favorite film (right now) is Unforgiven. Watching William Munny turn back into a cold blooded killer always amazes me.

I've seen most (over 90%) of the ones listed and there are some amazing movies here, but I have to go with the un-filmable:

Fellowship of the Ring - Extended Edition.

I knew the whole movie that Gandalf would fall, but I cried anyway.

The whole Extended Edition Trilogy (as one story) is by far the best film ever made.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Yep, I'm the Necromancer of dead thread resurrections...what of it??

Wap, I agree...The Lord of The Rings Extended Editions can and should be considered as one complete movie. I can't wait to watch them on my new 52"+ (haven't found the exact size yet) LCD flatscreen I'm going to get once I get home!

I would agree with Wap too, I see the Lord of the Rings as one complete film too. It just takes about 12 hours to watch it LOL

They were definitely better than the theatrical releases.

Definitly!

I have trilogy extended edition DVDs set. DVDs with LCD flatscreen and DTS surround speakers...Wow! Feels like I'm in a theatre. Cool

My kids and I did that last year around Christmas time - spent the whole day watching it. What a blast!
