Well, I just heard from Matt Venne, the scripter: Dario Argento will be directing "Pelts" for Masters of Horror. How cool is that?

Will the production be based around the script included in 'Barrens and Others' or will it be a new script which includes more elements from the story?

The script is done and it's very faithful to the story.

Oddly enough, I picked up the back issues of The Keep that I was missing and noticed that right next to The Keep was a comic titled Masters of Horror, issues 1, 2 and 3. I bought them as well. Issues 1 and 2 give us a Joe Lansdale story, and 3 gives us part one of a H.P. Lovecraft story. I thought that this would be a great venue for an fpw story. The comic book guy told me that Argento was considering an fpw story but didn't know which one. What I didn't know was that this comic book series is supposed to coincide with a Showtime series titled Masters of Horror. Comic book guy also mentioned that issue 4 of the comic was months overdue, but that if the TV series pans out, that the comic should go monthly, which means we may have a two part comic of Pelts on the way. Here's hoping the TV series succeeds so that the comic series follows suit.
