Marathon Man. American History X. Saw (1 and 2). I just flat out cannot watch anything involving animals. Ugh.

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

May the Norse be with you.

The only movie scene I can think of that I've ever found particularly disturbing is the scene in Doom Generation with Skinny Puppy, the American flag, and the hedge clippers. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, avoid it; it's a terrible movie.

The first alien film. Early on when he leans over a pod that's opening and it attaches to his face. Jumped out of my skin!!! ...and then the film gets even better. hats off to Ridley Scott!!!

I just watched House of Wax (better than I expected).

The first attack when Wade gets clipped.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Gerald Rice Wrote:This just popped into my head while I was warming up lunch in the atrium. Mine is the scene in Fight Club at the cancer support group when the one woman, who's obviously dying gets up to the podium and pretty much begs for someone to have sex with her before she dies. Anybody else have one?

Maybe nobody else has mentioned this (blocked it out?) because it is so truly disturbing: the 360-degree head turn in THE EXORCIST. My girlfriend and I saw the flick when it came out. She screamed. I screamed higher and louder.

The thing that bugged me most about The Exorcist was the bed jumping around during all the hoodoo...thanks to older brothers I saw Exorcist waaaaaaaaayyyyy too young and that bed put me off beds for a good long while. Why I thought the bed was the thing to fear I still don't understand but what can I say?

I just remebered prolly the WORST movie moment for me, personally, EVER.

NEVER watch Straw Dogs with your girlfriend. It's just a sick, disgunting experience.

Had I known of the whole 'Rape' scene I never would have thrown it in.

But, hey, I was on a kick of watching gritty seventies type movies, and I believe Straw Dogs was directed by Sam Peckenpah, so who could blame me?

But it's like... what do you say to some girl sitting next to you that you don't know very well, during that rape scene... "so...how bout that whole Iraq thing? Pretty crazy huh?"
