"The Fly" certainly is gross, yet I found it to be one of the most touching love stories, ever. Call me crazy, but I do.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

One thing, and I am sure I am demonstrating my ignorance here, but what the hell is Zaftig? Not sure I want to do an internet search as what my mind leads me to beleive it is isn't something I think I want to see on the internet....

Zaftig is describes a woman who is large and lovely, generally speaking with big bosums and hips. Curvy. Lucious in her way.

Ain't nothing wrong with big girls, guys. It's just a matter of perspective.

I can't stand to watch any scene where an animal gets hurt. My mantra is do anything to the humans but don't hurt the animals!

SPOILER ALERT FOR "FATAL ATTRACTION"

It may be cliche, but the poor dead bunny in the pot was horrific for me.

Additionally, gruesome gynecological exams are to be avoided. While they didn't show any actual torturous exams on screen in "Dead Ringers," I left the movie theater bent at the waist and clutching my abdomen just from viewing the bizarre and awful looking GYN tools they used. YIKES!

You guys have about covered them. Deliverance piggy scene, Payback piggy scene, Serpant and The Rainbow nailing nut scene, Private Ryan strait to the heart scene. The only one I can add is Kathey Bates in "Misery" when she has that sledge hammer. I yelled out loud! I think I even walked funny out of the theatre!Big Grin

Oh yeah....yikes! The maggot birth was horrible! And, I add to your mentions. Seth vs. the man in a bar, arm-wrestling. When Seth fractured opponent's arm, I gasped.

Quote:How about Mr. Creosole(sp) from The Meaning of Life. I've never laughed harder at something so disgusting.

That's comedy. I laughed at all those scenes......Am I strange?

*****!Spoiler alert!*****

Did you read the book? In the book, Annie Wilks(K.Bates) used the ax instead of sledge hammer. If she used ax in the movie version, that's a exactly disturbing moment.

Cube; All traps scenes were disturbing.
Hannibal; Brain cooking by Hannibal Lecter. Yikes!
Dark Half; In brain surgery scene, when doctor opened the boy's scull, suddenly big eye popped out from brain. And, it's moving!!!
What lies beneath; Bathtub scene. Only a few seconds, but chilly.
Resavour Dogs; Captured cop tortured by Blonde.

Kenji, it is a wonder you're not a homicidal maniac given all the depravity you've been exposed to. Big Grin

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
