This just popped into my head while I was warming up lunch in the atrium. Mine is the scene in Fight Club at the cancer support group when the one woman, who's obviously dying gets up to the podium and pretty much begs for someone to have sex with her before she dies. Anybody else have one?

I've plenty, but little time so I'll just add, from Fight Club also, the scene where the bag of fat gets caught on the fence, rips open and empties onto Edward Norton. Bleck!

I just saw Wolf Creek the other day. Head on a stick. Very disturbing. Loved it.

Hmmm, how about "I want to hear you scream," ala Serpent and the Rainbow. Even though he didn't really get nailed, I was ready to throw the couch at the TV to make it stop. Also, the needle in the eye.

The first Hellraiser. When the men are carrying the couch (or something) up the stairs and one guy tears open the back of his hand on a nail sticking out from the staircase. Oh, GOD!!! I don't normally squirm, but torn, ripped flesh as opposed to sliced flesh is much, much more disturbing.

I had to read this twice. At first, I thought it said "asylum."

We Were Soldiers when some attempted to pull (by the legs) a guy who had been burned and his skin just pulled right off.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Bad things happening to the hands always disturb me. Sharky's Machine where Burt is being interrogated and they lop off a couple of fingers or in Psycho II where Anthony Perkins is getting continually stabbed in the hands by Meg Tilly until he finally grabs hold of the blade and then she pulls it out his hand. Ouch.

All of Requiem For A Dream left me nauseated.

Torture scene in "Marathon Man". Lawrence Olivier did pull out Dustin Hoffman's teeth, and "Is it safe?........Is it safe?........Is it safe?......"

Oh, I can't forget that scene and his voice.

I'd say especially that funky arm.
