You won't be disappointed; he is a master of gut-wrenching horror and side-splitting hilarity. My recommendations are
Act of Love, The Nightrunners, Cold in July, Freezer Burn, The Bottoms and any of his short stories. He also has a series featuring Hap Collins and Leonard Pine as 2 highly unlikely sleuths, but I've only read a couple of them. And for something that makes the concept of
Bubba Ho-Tep appear mundane, check out
The Drive-In double feature.
I can't say enough good things about the film either.
