Although they claim it isn't a petition that's exactly what it looks like. In any event, I signed up. We need more Firefly!

In the Special Features section of the Serenity dvd, a petition was mentioned. You may be right, Marc. I never saw a single episode of Firefly but after watching Serenity I truly hope they bring it back. Looks like I missed a fun show.

You should go rent it (or better yet buy it). You'll love it!

I was thinking about the DVD set for Firefly and what a great deal it truly is. Then it dawned on me. The reason a great show like this had new life breathed into it is that the DVD set is so cheap. Battlestar Galactica is pretty cheap as well for a good show. Farscape, on the other hand, while being a great show, had limited accessibility and then the season sets are priced at $90-$100 bucks each. I would gladly pay $100 for all the episodes, but not over $400. Star Trek is the same way. Too much money for all the episodes.

So, the moral of this story: BUY FIREFLY, you won't regret a single penny spent. A great value for a great series!

Boy, isn't that the truth!

(For Sam, and any others who might be interested: the two hour introductory episode and all twelve subsequent episodes are available new for $40 FRN's on a four disc set. Some of those episodes were never aired on TV. And they do give you a great lead-in to the movie.)

By the way Scott, I signed up too.

Thanks for the information.

Yes, thank you! The SciFi channel reran the series in the months before the release of the movie and I really enjoyed seeing it again. Alas, my budget currently sucks but the DVD collection will be at the top of my wish list. As far as a second season goes, I'm all for it but the networks are so perverse...

Firefly...! Oh, I still haven't seen first season! This is what I really wanted to see. Well, someday we'll get 1st season DVD-box set in Japan. By the time I can see it, all of you will see Firefly seaon 3 or 4.

Enjoy the show! Wink

Actually, there is no second season. The program was cancelled after only ten episodes were shown.

That's what this is all about . . . to see if there's enough interest to justify making more shows for a limited audience.

Oops....I mistook! :o

Why did they cancel the show? Was audience rating bad? Judging from all of you, Firefly looks like pretty good show. I understand why another sci-fi show, "Odyssey 5" was cancelled though.... Rolleyes
