We have completed the film. Currently it's being color corrected, sound mixed, scored and a few shots are being digitally modified.

As metioned, Dead in the Water now has a composer! You can check out a score he did for our teaser at http://deadinthewater.rpmfilms.com/media.htm. This is the same preview as before just with the new score.

Finally, we've been given permission by a fairly large band to use a song in the film. Once all the official paperwork has been done we'll mention who it is. Let me just say we're very excited they agreed to let us use their music.
I can't wait to see it.

Any luck with distribution yet?

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Not yet. We've had one interested party but it's a new company with no track record so I've been holding off to be safe. I want to see what happens at the festivals first.

How do the festivals work, Marc? You submit your film and they decide whether to show it as part of the festival? And you can do that without a distributor?

I recommend pleasant.

Marc, now it not only looks good, but sounds good too! I plan on getting this one way or another! I've also been promoting it, so far the response is very posative. I hope you get it marketed wide spread, but If there's a DVD I'll be doing a veiwing at my house. If there's any other way to promote it, let me know. I'm game!

That's exactly how it works. You submit it with hundreds, sometimes thousands, of other people where only a handful are accepted into the competition. And you don't need a distributors to get in. That's part of the reason for the festivals... to find distribution. Smile

If there is any type of audience voting process or support process, let me know and I will try to help you out. I know I could get at least one other person to go, and I could prob round up a few more.

Most excellent!

Can't wait to see it/buy it.

Good luck at the festivals and let us know when/where they will be.

Goody Goody! Can I hope that the band is Blue Oyster Cult? Just kidding, although they really should have done horror movies. Anyway, sounds like you're really on a roll, Marc. I'm happy for you and proud to be your friend.
