We just got home from seeing Doom. That was awesome! We really liked it. It didn't follow the video game (not a Spoiler as none of those video game movies really follow the game anyway). If you want action, go see this. I did think it dragged just a bit at the beginning but after that. . .

Thanks for posting. I'm interested in Doom, but it looks like it could go either way (really good, or just another crappie vg movie). I was going to wait a week and see how it rates. Thanks for the quick thumbs up.

I don't want to give anything away but they do something in the movie that is really different from other video game movies. You'll know it when you see it!

The first person perspective? It's in the trailers.

Oh, I guess I missed that part of the trailers. But it was really cool on the big screen.

If they really want to make it realistic and have it seem just like my experiences playing Doom online, then The Rock should run around in first person saying things like--

OH Yeah!! You just got pwned you little b****!!
Head shot! Head shot! How'd you like that you F***** P****!
Don't PK me you F****** NEWB!

That'd make The Rock's acting in this movie better. Seriously, they need to avoid giving him lines for stuff like this.

I was suppose to see Doom this week, but got off too late. Looks to be pretty descent. Not a whole lot of good scary movies out now. I did see Fog, and really am looking forward to Saw 2. Glad you liked the movie, I will check it out on my day off now.

I predict Saw II to be very disapointing. I liked the first, but I think 2 is just a money grab. I don't think it will have much else going for it. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. I hope so.

I liked the first up until the end. As for the sequel I agree with your assessment: it is a money grab move. Saw II will probably be as bad as Blair Witch 2.
