Dammit! I was gonna quote that. I love that scene.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Jim, did you see this movie? I heard you're Tony Scott fan. Smile
Yeah, I like Tony Scott. Not all of his movies, but a lot.

Top Gun
The Last Boy Scout
Enemy of the State
Man on Fire - I liked a lot but maybe not AS much as many on this site.
True Romance is one of my favorite movies EVER - just watched again Sat.

Crimson Tide was good but got a little too erratic.
Spy Game - I prob would have liked a lot more if a little shorter and less complex.

According to IMDb, he is remaking The Warriors. Is there a need for this?

I've followed the real Domino Harvey's story via the news for almost two years now. When I heard Tony Scott, one of my favorite directors, was making a movie about her, I eagerly awaited the result. Then right as the film was nearing completion, Domino commits suicide.

What is truly sad for me is that this movie (I saw it last night) makes such light of the real subject matter and insults a very troubled young lady with its MTV depiction of how she got into this trouble that led to her demise. T. Scott considers the movie a fictional homage to Domino. I feel a true homage would have been to shelf the movie.

Me too. I can't think about that word without thinking of that scene. Those two characters were great.
