Is the Tomb Mass market from Tor going to Out-of-print status? B&N.com says no new copies available and Amazon says 1 to 3 weeks delivery - which I assume means none in their inventory.

Anyone know if its headed for an out-of -print status all together or perhaps a new edition is coming out?

Thanks

They'll keep it in print. The problem may be that they're putting out a special bargain-price edition this summer to hook more folks on RJ and may not want competing editions available.

or

The success of "The Long Way Home" on Amazon shorts has led to a run on the series.

I'll ask Hartwell.

from David Hartwell...

"I know we discussed this before, but the story is that we are going to do a special lower priced mm reprint edition of The Tomb next year to get wide distribution and to enhance the Repairman jack series.

"That entails letting the mm copies out there in the distributors and wholesalers warehouses dry up, get sold or returned. It actually surprises me that it is OS now. I would have expected two or three months more."

I think the success of the RJ story on Amazon had something to do with that.

Hopefully they will stop taking so long to release the paperbacks.
