To a great extent, those parameters are mutually exclusive. GI .45 ACP ball ammo has nominal ballistics of 230 grains at 835fps from a full-sized M1911. If you go with a full-sized frame, the stopping power of a .45 ACP is substantial, but from a short barrel the ballistics are badly degraded. The Glocks have polygonal rifling that enhances MV by maybe 50 fps or so, and you can go with CorBon loads that are a bit "warm". If you insist on using a small carry gun in .45ACP, I recommend three things:

1. Go with Glock
2. Use CorBon ammo
3. Go with the 185 grain hollowpoints for higher velocity and better expansion.

Finally, to really enhance stopping power, buy a drop-in barrel for your Glock .45 and stoke it with .400 Corbon ammo. This round was derived from .45ACP necked down to .400 calibre. I have a .400 CorBon barrel for my Glock 21 .45ACP, and it's SWEET! I suspect that its street stopping power should readily exceed that of the .357 Mag.

My favorite "Knoll" has always been Chuck Noll. The Grassy Knoll special was undoubtedly a sniper rifle. So how many gunmen do YOU think there were? I say there were three, although perhaps only two hit their mark (and I think Oswald wasn't one of them).

Biggles...Biggles...Biggles...Oswald was the perp. C'mon...let's get serious here. Is there any doubt Oswald had a rifle in the TBD? Is there any doubt it was fired? Is there any doubt Oswald was a former Marine, or that =every= Marine is a rifleman first, down from the Commandant to the newest graduate of Camp Lejune? What you're saying is that only 2 of 3 marksmen charged with killing the President of the United States in broad daylight earned their pay? Please. ('Though it's true you can't hire good help anymore. .)

If 2 of 3 DID earn their pay, then someone DID hire good help. I don't dispute that Oswald shot (at) the President. I dispute that he was the ONLY one who shot at the President.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

I agree, there is no way Oswald did the damage he did to Kennedy from that angle!

And how do you become a rifleman in the military? You shoot at stationary, paper targets, set at a known distance. Please. I know you get instructions from the military on how to use a rifle, but that doesn't make them snipers. That's a whole differant bag.

And as far as 2 of three charged, I thought Oswald took the whole rap, when Ruby killed him he never said otherwise to my knowledge. So two walked away and the scapegoat was exicuted right?

I take it you're not a Marine.

Bingo! Actually, back when I thought about it, that was the branch I leaned to. I'm sure it's probably changed in the last 15 to 20 years.

So where you military? How much has changed since my amigo's were there?

Not in a million years!!! Hahaa!!! I'm not man enough to submit 4 years of my life to the whims of those people. I have nothing against those who do, but the thought of giving away my own free will scares the shiznit out of me.
