I would LOVE another book with Glaeken in it !!! His character is the main reason why I became an F. Paul Wilson fanatic. Glaeken and Magda captured my imagination. Please let there be another book about him !!!!
Just the possibility of this is enough to make me hyperventilate and pass out...

A Keep Prequel!

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

BTW, Welcome to the board, LuzEstrella.

FYI, the Keep prequel is kind of a loooooooong running joke around here......

Have you read the complete Adverysary Cycle, i.e., The Keep, The Tomb, The Touch, Reborn, Reprisal and Nightworld? Glaeken features prominently in Nightworld, but I would suggest reading the others in order, though there's a lot of differing opinions about that around the board.

Welcome!

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Thanks for the nice welcome....
To answer your question, yes, I have read all of the Adversary Cycle (and in the order in which it was written). I am still left wanting to know more about Glaeken and even Magda. The ending of "Nightworld" just broke my heart and I just will not accept that this is how these two characters lives will sort of fade away after what they had both been through in "The Keep". Maybe Im wanting a spectacular finish. Glaeken deserves to go in a huge blaze of glory. I was thrilled to see that the Otherness was picked up in the RJ stories and now Jack will be the next in line to take up the fight. Im looking forward to a Jack and Rasalom confrontation.
*******
Okay...Jack and Rasalom have met already in "Nightworld".....it is just that I have been reading the books in the order in which they have been published. So the timeline has not really gelled in my mind yet. I get confused !!!! They have not met yet and yet they have.

"Demonsong," available in "The Little Beige Book," is a great short story about the start of Glaeken's and the R Man's relationship.

The Rasalom character seemed very different in Demonsong, While Glaeken was very much Glaeken.

Indeed! Even his name was spelled differently, if you notice. Smile

The ending was sad, but more for Glaeken than Magda. She was released from her earthly tethers, while Glaeken was forced to remain more than a mortal when he wanted not to be.

Much like Dalt in Healer, eh? Except Dalt seems to have (thus far) accepted his fate.

Well, the only version I have is in Little Beige Book. It must have been corrected. It is spelled Rasalom in Beige. How was it spelled before?
