Any of you guys play Doom 3 on the pc? I was very dissapointed with it. It started really cool, but the whole game is like one level over an over... no variety.

Half Life 2 on the other hand, was a near perfect Video game. You should all try it if you got a good PC that can run it.

The final preview for Doom is now available here.

I'm not entirely sure what they're trying to accomplish. It looks like a lot of the movie is going to be from the point of view of the marines which, being based on a first person shooter, is mildly interesting. I don't know if it will work for the duration of a movie though.

Now if DOOM 4 (the game) looked photo realistic like this then I'd be extremely impressed but considering it looks like their doing the point of view for the fans I have little hope for this movie.

Thoughts?

Looks a bit gimmicky. But, I'll still go see it. No matter how many thumbs down Ebert and Roeper give it. Or, how bad Tony ends up reviewing it. That said, I'm looking foward to his review, more than the movie.
