Are there plans to have the Updated/Edited AC books in paperback form in the foreseeable future? The collectors limited editions are a little beyond my current situation.

I haven't seen anything about that, but I suspect that we'll have to wait until after most of the limiteds have been published. Only Paul will know for sure.

I think this was discussed at one of the GU's. If memory serves, Paul is waiting until the limited edition of Nightworld is released (and possibly the rest of the Jack books) before re-releasing the Adversary Cycle so continuity is right.

Like Biggles said, only Paul knows for sure but this is my memory of some conversation. Maybe it was a private one in my head. Can't be sure. Rolleyes

Ok, so the god of authors is going to wait. How many more are there going to be in the blessed R.J. series? I am anxious for Nightworld to be released again. When I read it the last time I had two choices, one I could spend about 60$ and buy a copy used off the net or, two I could try to get it from the Library. I chose the Library. My local Library had to get it on loan from a Library in N.C. somewhere. I would like to own a copy that is in good shape for myself. I have also found that finding some of F.P.W. earlier works, that are in good shape, hard to come by. I am truly looking foward to re-releases of some of our hero authors earlier works.

Please don't rush FPW on th RJ series! I personally don't want to see an end to them! But everything has to end, and it will be with Nightworld! All in it's own sweet time!

There is another thread "The Adversary Cycle Reprints" regarding this.

Here is my post regarding it;

I've been holding back on new mass market editions of REBORN and REPRISAL because REPRISAL leaves you hanging until NIGHTWORLD picks up a few months after. And since I don't want NIGHTWORLD out there until after the last RJ novel (don't ask when -- I don't know), making a reader wait years for resolution of the story doesn't seem fair.

The Borderlands editions are a different breed since they're limited to 1000 copies that only True Believers -- folks who've already read NIGHTWORLD -- will spring for.
You didn't mention The Touch does this mean that it is being released in a new mass market edition.

I hope you will reconsider releasing Reborn, Reprisal & Nightworld in new mass market editions.

I don't think that fans would mind that Nightworld is possibly the last RJ story & it being released before the other RJ novels still to be published.

I would certainly like to see new mass market editions, because while I'm tempted by the new Borderlands editions, the cost which works out to about $120 AUD each not including postage & that they are hardcovers keeps putting me off.

It certainly would not worry me if Nightworld were released in pb before the last RJ story is written. Other authors do this all the time where their novels are released in a different order to how they appear within the chronology of series. A few examples are Alan Dean Foster's Humanx Commonwealth, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern & L. E. Modesitt Jr.'s Recluce.

I must agree with FPW. I'd rather wait till the RJ series is ready for a finally and get it in the form of a revised version of Nightworld. I started reading RJ several years ago, and have worked through the entire Adversary Cycle. I've not read Nightworld though, waiting for RJ to catch up to it. I too am in no hurry though as the end of my favorite literary character will be a tough pill to swallow. Keep em comin FPW.
