Each episode I watch is on par with some of the best big screen thrillers I have seen. The Brits have it down when it comes to the perfect mix of thrills and humor. Each episode has enough mystery, violence and wit to hold my attention for the full 90 minutes.
If you havent yet seen Wire in the Blood on BBC you are missing perhaps one of the best thrillers on the airwaves to date.
Kenji Wrote:Today, I saw Wire in the Blood on DVD. First episode,"The mermaids singing" was typical thriller but torture scenes were chilly. And Tony Hill is very unique character(Lara Craft fan psychologist?!).
Until now, my favorite British TV series were Monty Python, Black Adder, Thin Blue Line, The Fawlty Towers.......all comedy, but I've never seen psycho thriller was made in England before. I have to buy second season!
I heard that this "WIB" was not broadcast on TV in America and Europe. Is that true....?
AsMoral Wrote:WIB was boradcast on cable television in the US on the BBC. They only showed the first season and it's not on the schedule anytime soon. The BBC has a great lineup of thrillers on Monday nights on BBC Mystery. I don't get to watch TV as much as I used too...I sure do miss it.
