easily in my top 3 of RJ books. Big fan of dad's backstory, and the development of he and jack's relationship...albeit, i'll admit, i got nervous as i thought FPW was going to kill him off like Jack's sister!

I know, this book has been out for a while, but i go thru them so quickly, I try to spread them out. And no, I haven't read Nightworld, no matter how good it is...I don't want to read the ending yet.

Looking forward to Crisscross, after I finish Black Wind and The Select.

Horcecow,
Glad you liked "Gateways."

But not everyone has read "Hosts." You mention something critical and surprising that happens in "Hosts," so you should add a spoiler alert on your post to warn folks.

no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.
