Non-English FPW's books? How 'bout Japanese? If you want to his Japanese edition books, I send them to you. Wink

APhew Wrote:We have repeatedly tried to get him to put a warning in the front of his novels, but so far he refuses. There is a theory going around that it might be a ploy for world domination, but it's merely conjecture at this point.

You have been warned.

I knew it! All these years the personal injury LAWYERS have been suspected of seeking world domination (which is true, but never mind that), but working quietly in the shadows the DOCTORS have been stealthily moving into position, led by a quiet, unassuming New Jersey family practitioner!

You know, I always felt that Rasalom was just a little too perfect a villian, as if FPW was speaking from personal experience. I think you all may have stumbled onto something here. And to think we have all been acting as his ambassadors, out convincing anyone who'd listen about the power of his writing. How blind we were! Maybe there is still enough time if we can only locate the Glaeken real-life counterpart.

That's an hysterical thought! Sounds like it ought to be a thread of its own. Who would be Glaeken and WWGD?

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

He was here in Arizona for the winter. It seems he's become a snowbird in his extremly old age! He was complaining about how the snow and the cold back in New York was getting to his old bones. I did some repair work on his awning, apperantly all this rain softened up the ground and his saguaro cactus fell an on it damaging the first ten feet. Easy fix. He said he was heading back after a short visit to Mexico for some back pills and pain killers (I guess they're cheaper there). He'll be driving a beat up Winnabago with a bumper sticker that says " I brake for the Otherness" and towing an '89 Toyota Tercel. I know he can afford better so I think he was in hiding! Big Grin I hope this helps!

I'll tell you this, when I read one of FPW's books in a restaurant, it takes 2 or 3 minutes for the waitress to get me to pay attention so he or she can ask how my meal is

Just today, I got lost in FPW's book.

While I return to home by train, I read The Haunted Air. From Ginza to Kawaguchi(my living city), the time take just 35 minutes. But when I looked up once, I realized I passed Kawaguchi. The train pulled in to terminal station....what are dumb! :o
