This is a good film with great acting by all the kids. Here's a fitting review... http://www.filmthreat.com/Reviews.asp?Id=5423

Joshua Peck done a fantastic job as the bully, IMO. The plot isn't surprising (as the review said) but the acting makes this film worth watching. Give it a try.

I've had my eye on that one and United States of Leland. I'll make sure to check it out soon. Another good drama is Around the Bend with Christopher Walken and Michael Caine. It is a road trip movie with four generations of Lair men who barely know one another.

Based on solid reviews by reviewers I trust, I saw "Mean Creek" in the theater this summer. I was not let down. It's a great little movie. Sam is right; the acting is terrific. The ensemble cast works exceedingly well together. This is a tight little film that will make you think. It's on my Netflix list to view again.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.
