Medusa Wrote:I LOVED that movie! Gene Simmons was so cool! That was one of the first real action movie my son ever watched. I guess he was about 6. He loved the "spiders".

Gene was great in Runaway, which was a cool movie, but I'm trying to remember the one with him as a terrorist and Rutger Hauer as the man hunting him down. Talk about classic endings.

Wanted: Dead or Alive

I first thought of that movie also.

Hand grenade in the mouth! That was a great ending.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

The Kiss movie was HORRIBLE but I loved it as a kid. I saw it again a few years ago and laughed myself to death. I'ts a D-rated movie. God, the fight scenes...nothing funnier than watching a drugged up Ace Frehley trying to kick someone's ass.
As for Gene's movies, my favorite of his was Wanted Dead or Alive with Rutger Hauer.

...Oop. Jimbow beat me to that one.

Didn't they have super powers in that one? I remember it but vaguely!

He plays such a good bad guy, it's almost like he was born for it. Cool
I couldn't believe it was him without makeup! Where was the tongue? Where was the platform dragon shoes? This just can't be the same Gene! But it was! Smile

Actually, if you look closely you can see that in some of the fight scenes (And other scenes --Ace would not show up for much of the shooting of this movie) Ace is being played by a big black guy made up to look like him. Big Grin

And Peter's accent was so bad that they used somebody else's voice dubbed in over his lines.

How about "Never Too Young To Die" with John Stamos and Vanity? Gene plays a hermaphrodite.

I honestly do not remember a thing about the movie. I think the only super powers KISS ever had was their marketing and PR guy.

If i remember correctly that was very evident during the fight onstage with their evil clones??

I didn't know that!! Hell the voice they did use wasn't much better.

Gene Simmons - hermaphrodite...a truly horrifying thought.

I remember Runaway quite well, and am amazed anyone else does!

In addition to Gene Simmons, it also had one of Kirstie Allie's first roles as well as the fetching Cynthia Rhodes. You couldn't throw a rock in the 1980s and not hit a movie theater showing one of her movies, which included Flashdance, Staing Alive, and Dirty Dancing She also danced in the Toto video "Rosanna", which was actually based on Rosanna Arquette, who is the niece of Cliff Arquette who used to appear on Hollywood Squares all the time, and... and....

I've really got to do some cleaning of my brain's memory. Why do I remember all that stuff but can't remember basic algebra equations?
