Your designs are awesome!
Thanks, Susan!

How are the cats now? Better I hope.
Quote:I'd love to do a super cool black WWRJD tee. But first, a reality check.
Okay, I'm sitting down.
Quote:1. Black tees at Cafe Press are still in "beta". I bought a black t-shirt design in February and it was so bad, I got my money back.
Hmm, this sucks. Maybe be best to hold off until their black tees move out of beta.
Quote:2. You've borrowed *coughs* a design element from a book cover. That is a no-no unless the publisher okays it. Getting a publisher's permission is usually a pain in the butt. I'm not sure Paul would want to get involved in that. Now if we can get a royalty/copyright free picture of our own to use instead, then we're fine.
Yeah, I figured this would be an issue. Since I scanned right from the cover for a quicker starting point, I figured that it would be good for discussion but not for actual use. Perhaps we could replace the RJ silhouette with the "three slashes"? What about the overall design style? Are we okay borrowing that? Especially if you recreate the entire thing fresh?
Quote:3. Was your design created at 300 dpi? Because if it wasn't, it will not print correctly. But I can create a design at 300 dpi that looks like your design.
Yes, my base Photoshop file is at 300dpi. I've just scaled down these mockups for easier browser display.
Quote:I say if you all really want a black tee (remember none have looked good so far) I'd be glad to do it. I'll just find a free pic to insert in the circle and I'll create the rest from scratch to look like Dejo's design. I'll fix the letter spacing, etc. I can do it, I have the technology!
If everybody really wants black tees, maybe just let them know about the problems and caveat emptor. As for creating from scratch, let me know if you want my Photoshop file for reference or anything. I suspect your skillz are mad enough that that won't be necessary but I thought I'd offer.
Quote:I'm swamped right now, but I could get to it in a week or two.
Susan
I'm in no rush but I can't speak for the others.
Query: What about setting up another CafePress store carrying just WWRJD items?
