The longer the sugar loaf is soaked, the longer it burns! Just gotta make sure it isn't soaked so long that it dissolves. The temptation to make this at my dad's house is huge, especially to watch my stepmother carry on like a ninny about how dangerous it is. Everything is dangerous to my stepmother these days.
