"Gingerly?" Hunan cuisine uses a lot of ginger! I had a Springfield M1A Scout rifle, long-eye-relief scope, black composite stock that I gunshowed years ago. I was not happy with it. I also had an H&K 91 (as well as my SAR-8). They both have a roller-block delayed action that is much more accurate, they are easier to take apart and clean than the M1-A.

I've had Walthers, even Walther .22s. The PPK was a good design back in the 60s, but the Special Branch officers who guard the Royal Family discarded them as their service weapon when one jammed at a critical juncture. Bond carried a 7.65 (.32) PPK. For some reason, Europeans think a .32 is enough to do the job. To me, a .32 is a mouse gun. There a 9-mms the same size now.

Then out spoke brave Horatius, the Captain of the Gate: "To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late; And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, For the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods,"
"Well, John Henry said to the Cap'n, "A man ain't nuthin' but a man. But, before I let that steam drill beat me, gonna die with my hammer in my hand, Lawd, Lawd, gonna die with my hammer in my hand."

I don't want the PPK for carry. I have a Kahr PM9 for pocket carry, and a Glock 19 for IWB in a Crossbreed Supertuck.

I like the PPK, more as something to have, and shoot. In the same vein as my 1911's.

I remember, we both like the Kahr PM9 and the Glock 19.

I bought a Glock 21 long-slide, custom Wolf barrel and slide.

I've already got too many guns I bought just to have. That's why I have so many to sell!Cool
I don't even have time to shoot them all, too many safe queens!

I am closing this thread due to the talk of guns.

Please only talk about rainbows and unicorns from here on out.

I really wasn't telling Joe to go to PT because I don't want him here. I just wanted him to know that his threads won't be shut down over there. Contrary to popular belief, shutting a thread down is not something I like doing.

I also want to make something clear:

I do not hate Planet Tolive, I don't hate anyone there, and I don't have any feelings one way or another about people leaving here to go there.

I was honestly posting the link to the site because I felt bad that we had to close a thread and delete several posts about topics that are not allowed here. Joe had been gone for a while and he may not have known or remembered. I was doing him a favor to let him know that while we don't allow it here, he can talk about the topics over there.

I don't spend a ridiculous amount of time here at the RJ board, I stop in once or twice a week to make sure it isn't overrun with spam or fighting and I move on. I don't have any feelings about the RJ board...it is the internet and I don't even think about it when I am not on it.

I am proud of the Tolivians for their site. I even went over there at the 1 year anniversary and sent Webby an email congratulating her and the site.

I am not being facetious or mean spirited when I post links to the site, I am doing users here a favor by reminding them of the rules and letting them know there is an option for them versus not being able to discuss it at all.

In this example, Joe mentioned the old guard isn't around much. I wanted him to know about the PT site because he didn't seem to remember much about what happened here 2 years ago so chances are he may not have remembered about Tolive. I pointed him in the direction of where the old guard is.

I hope that clears up a few misconceptions anyone may have about how I feel about one board or the other. The truth is...regarding both boards, I don't really feel much. Indifference at most. It is not a huge part of my life.
