Quote:I always thought Raslom didn't want to touch the blade, as maybe he feared it hurting him.
He ended up using it at the end of The Dark at the End to kill all those people, so I don't think that's it.

Quote:If memory serves, that was simply the empty box that once held the katana

Unless you can find different, there never was a box that held the katana. When it was originally stolen it was on display in a glass case.

It was kept in a long rectangular box when Jack had it, and when Rasalom got it from Drexler in Dark at the End.

From my reading the only items that were used to wrap the katana were a couple of rugs and a paint drop cloth. I'm from Missouri; you're going to have to show me where it was kept in a box. But that's really beside the point. To me the real question is what is so important about the box.

Quote:A package shall be arriving for your safekeeping.

Quote:I trust the package I sent arrived? "Yes," a mysterious, locked, oblong box, three feet long. "It is safe."

Quote:Your immediate concern lies in retrieving the item I entrusted to you for safekeeping before the Intermet fiasco. I assume you still have it.

These three quotes from two different books imply that the box was of some importance. Just something to hold the katana in doesn't explain it, since many people have used it without the box. And Rasalom had no trouble touching the katana when he was using it to kill all those people.

Not at all. I couldn't care less if you want proof about a box, or Missouri. If you were from Muskogee, Oklahoma, USA, that would be a different story.

I'm from Florida. You have to show me where there was a concession made.
