This is another movie I watched over the weekend on Netflix instant. Great movie, I had read the book written by Ian Hamilton about this and had no idea a movie had been made from it.
This is about the 1950s raid by 4 college students from Scotland on Westminster Abbey to reclaim the Scottish Stone of Scone, or stone of destiny. Bringing Scottish pride and nationalism back to life.
Being of Scottish heritage I loved this movie and Ian Hamilton is a hero in my eyes, such a small act that carried such heavy symbolism for the Scottish people. I know that may make some people view me as a skirt wearing drunk thief but oh well. I dinnae care.
