When I had Paramount's ear about The Keep DVD, I pushed the remake as a direct lead-in to Nightworld to coincide with Beacon's The Tomb or Repairman Jack. Then the other AC books could be treated as prequels. At first, interest ran high. I contacted H.R. Giger's agent and faxed him a description of the Nightworld creatures. Told Paramount that H.R. Giger was contacted; told Giger's folk that Paramount was interested. Got a "Get back to you," which in Hollywood-speak means, Don't call us, we'll call you. Paramount balked on the DVD and the remake until The Tomb showed success, but referred me to the SciFi Channel Creative Projects Coordinator, who said, "Get back to you." It's been seven years now. I've given up. Seems like every one else did as well. As long as Beacon holds things up, no other AC books will see the screen.
AC
P.S. I also offered to write a grant proposal to get funding for the making of Sibs. That, too, fell on deaf ears. I think we'll see a comic book series sooner than a movie series of the AC.
