Sin Nombre is a harrowing look at the lengths some people will go to to get to America. It tells the tale of two people whose lives collide on their journey away from the deplorable conditions of their homelands. Sayra leaves Honduras with her estranged father who had been deported from New Jersey and Casper is trying to escape the gang he no longer wants to be a part of. They meet atop a train and forge an unlikely alliance as they travel north. I found it mesmerizing. The performances were great and the film is gorgeous in both its portrayal of the pictureesque country and the dinginess of the city. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes to to be transported to a world that they'll likely never see otherwise.
