The Mad American Wrote:I heard that Topher Grace and Adrien Brody had been cast in the remake of Predator. Not really two guys I can picture carrying an action movie like Predator but I just may be surprised.

Sheesh, is the predator going to take their skulls for trophies or beat them up and take their lunch money?

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

You guys realize Predators (plural) is a sequel to the first two and not a remake, right?

The Predators abduct a handful of humans, drop 'em on a planet and then hunt 'em down.

I didnt think the script was that bad ... I think the problem with it was bad acting (no offense to the unexperienced actors in the movie)

I don't remember where I rented it, but I didn't make it through the 1st 3rd of the movie.

I don't know if it's well suited for a remake but Stephen King's It is on it's way.

I can't find the other link, but a script was turned in over Christmas.

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a decent remake of "The Stand", without all the posturing and moralizing.

GeraldRice Wrote:Just checked. One of the lead guys for Conan is Roland Kickinger. He is very reminiscent of Schwarzenegger. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0452199/

The other guy played Colossus in X-Men 2.

The Canadian guy looks like a great Can-didate...heh...first off, his hair looks darker (and there has never been a real Conan movie because none of them have had BLACK hair). Second, he's not 40-something...unless the movie is about King Conan, Kickinger is too old; Cudmore is almost 30, 15 years after Conan began adventuring. Third, he's had far more quality roles (at a young age) than the older guy has had through his entire career (of imitating Arnold).

Finally, the best news of all regarding the movie, is that Brett Ratner [turns and spits on floor] has been canned from the project!

Marcus Nispel (Pathfinder with Carl Urban) is listed as the new Director.

Hard to think of a better choice, at this time, that would actually direct a barbarian movie.
